Day 28 of Spring Clean Challenge Part II

Day 28!

It’s Monday and we are ready to start the next session.  It’s been such an honor and a privilege to be working with such determined, courageous, beautiful people.  You guys inspire me so much and I am so blown away by your dedication and faith to live a healthy lifestyle.  It’s not easy and you guys fight through the bad days.  Thank you for being my heroes and for being such a great example to so many others.  Your life is making a difference just by your example.  You are a role model whether you want to be or not.  Keep it up!!!  Be an ambassador for health and fitness with your own communities and let’s be aware and educated to the dangers of poor nutrition and lack of exercise.  Keep persevering and keep shining!!!

1) Monday- Lower Body and Booty Day!

2) Sugar is from the DEVIL!!!!  Just say “NO”!!!

I admit, I have a sugar addiction.  The more I have it, the more I want it.  In order to overcome, you must educate yourself.  Knowledge is power.  If you’re having too much sugar, definitely cut it out and detox from it.  Check out this chart!

3) Mantra for the Day! -Blueprint for Life!  Just print this and read it everyday:)))

Love you guys and I’m rooting for you!!!  XOXO:))))

Day 27 of Spring Clean Challenge Part II

Day 27!

Hi guys!

My husband and I just got back from a marriage seminar.  We are so blessed to have the marriage that we have.  We’ve been married for fifteen years and we just keep growing and getting better each year.  Why is that?  Well number one, GOD! :) Number two, we are committed to putting time, energy, money and effort to keep it going.  It’s not by default or osmosis that we have a thriving marriage.  It’s an investment that we are both willing to make to make our marriage better.  It reminds me of our health and fitness.  It’s a daily battle and we have to be willing to work on it.  It’s not automatic.  We need help and accountability to be successful.  I’m so excited for all of you that have signed up for the next 60 Day Challenge!  You are making a huge investment in your health and fitness.  It will not be in vain.

1) Today is your rest and relaxation day!  Take the time to rejuvenate your soul.  Even if you don’t think you need to rest, DO IT!  Resting is essential to repairing your body.  Resting will prevent injuries and fatigue.  Enjoy your relaxing day and get ready for the week to come!

2) Food- Prep your food for the week.  Don’t skip this very important step in your challenge.  This is what will bring success!  Get inspired by these great ideas:)

3) Mantra for the Day!- Believe
You will receive what you believe.  The biggest thing that is holding you back is the belief that you can overcome.  It’s easier for you to believe the lies and the negativity that goes on in your mind than the thought that you could actually succeed and be happy.  If you can visualize your success and see what you want your life to be like then you will get there.  You just have to keep one foot in front of the other and keep pushing forward.  Excuses doesn’t produce results only action does.  So, start believing in yourself and do the work.  Just take baby steps and give yourself permission to not be perfect.  You can do this and I believe in you!

Love you guys and I’m rooting for you!!!  Don’t forget that we will close the registration for the next challenge on May 1st!  60 Day Challenge Registration! Don’t miss out:)))

Day 26 of Spring Clean Challenge Part II

Day 26!

Hi guys!  We’re almost done with this challenge.  If you are joining us for the next challenge you should be shopping and prepping your food this weekend.  Michelle has sent out amazing menus and recipes to ensure your victory.  I’m so excited to get to the next level and have no wiggle room!  How about you???  Are you ready to change your life???

1) Saturday!  Enjoy a fun day doing something fun and active.  Try something new.  If you live in Los Angeles it’s gonna be a gorgeous day.  Whatever you decide, do something!

2) Food- Try something new.  Don’t be afraid to try new things.  We went out to a birthday dinner the other night to a new vegan restaurant in the area.  All I can say is WOW!  I loved tasting new flavors.  It was hard to imagine that all the food there was vegan.  Everything we tasted was so rich and full of flavor.  You have to check it out:)  VeStation in Sherman Oaks!!!

3) Mantra for the Day! - It’s your body, it’s your responsibility!!!

You are the only one that can make you change.  You have to choose to live your life differently if you want to change.  It doesn’t matter what has happened in the past.  Your present situation is the only one you can control.  So, what are you waiting for???

If you desire to be healthy and fit, then you MUST do the work that it takes to get you closer to your goals.  It’s going to be a daily battle that you sometimes win and sometimes lose.  Sometimes you feel like all you’re doing is losing and then want to quit.  QUITTING will NOT get you closer to your goals.  STOP making excuses, get back up and start over.

Love you guys and I’m rooting for you!!!  There’s only three days left to sign up for our next challenge!!!  We have a certified nutritionist on board that will help with food.  We have menus and recipes, work outs and most importantly, lots of support and encouragement.  Sign Up Here!

Day 25 of Spring Clean Challenge Part II

Day 25!

Hello guys!  I hope you’re doing well.  I am feeling great and getting stronger.  I took a yoga class and my butt got handed to me!!!  It was so challenging that I felt like a beginner.  It was a very humbling experience but also very enlightening.  Our bodies are amazing and just when you think you’ve arrived, your body reminds you that there is so much to learn.  I loved it and hated it at the same time:)  I hope you are challenging yourself and trying new things.  You will amaze yourself by how strong you really are.

1) Friday- Normally, Friday’s are our CORE day but for the next four weeks, Karen from Fitness With Karen will be here to take care of our Zumba addiction:)  So dance with us and do your core exercises too!!!

Core Workout!!!

2) Food- Water!!!
I will keep reminding you guys to drink your water!!!  Be intentional about getting it all in.  Drink half of your weight in ounces.  For example, if you weigh 150 pounds you will drink 75 ounces of water daily.  Just make it a habit.  Carry your water bottle everywhere.  Do it!

3) Mantra of the Day! – Champions are not born, they’re made!!!
Everyday you have an opportunity to be a champion.  The only thing that separates the average people from the champions are the time and effort champions are willing to put in. It’s not automatic or genetic.  It’s not going to happen by osmosis.  It’s a CHOICE to take action towards your goals and not give in to laziness and excuses. Another thing about champions is that they have a short memory.  Shake it off and move on!  You decide!!!  It’s up to you:)))

Stop talking and just keep doing.  You ARE a CHAMPION!!!  Act like it!

Love you guys and I’m rooting for you:))) XOXO!!!

Day 24 of Spring Clean Challenge Part II

Day 24!

WOW!  I can’t believe how fast this session has flown by.  I really appreciate all of you that have participated in the program.  You guys are truly an inspiration to me and a great source of encouragement and joy to my life.  I’m blown away that I get to call what I do “work”!  I am really passionate about seeing you guys succeed and it’s such an honor to work with each and every one of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart:)))

1) Thursday- Yoga!  Take this day to stretch your body and connect.  Re-engage and take a moment to consider why you’re doing this.  What is your motivation?  What is your goal?  It’s good to take a moment to remind yourself the “why”.  I know when I first started out, my motives were strictly for vanity reasons.  I had no intention of being healthy.  I just wanted to look good!  It wasn’t until my body started to fall apart that I realized I had to get healthy.  Now, my motivation is to stay healthy and be an ambassador to help other people get on the right path.  I encourage you to take the time and reflect on your goals and dreams.  Believe that you can do it.  Know that we’re here to support you!  XOXO:)))

2) Food- Portion Distortion
This is a great visual for what true portion sizes are.  Be aware that restaurants will serve you huge portions.  Sometimes the portion size can serve four people!  Unless of course you’re at a French restaurant then you better eat before you go!:) LOL….

3) Mantra for the Day! -You are Stronger Today!!!
We are 24 days in and you are stronger now than when you first started.  Focus on all the things you can do now and how much you have accomplished.  Always think about how far you’ve come instead of how much further you need to go.  You are getting stronger everyday as long as you don’t give up!!!

Love you guys and I’m rooting for you!!! XOXO:)))

Day 23 of Spring Clean Challenge Part II

Day 23!

Hi guys!  Don’t lose steam.  We need to renew our motivation daily.  It’s not automatic, it’s not natural.  Do not be discouraged when you have an off day or if you don’t feel like working out.  It happens to all of us.  The key is to do it anyway.  Make it a priority and don’t let anything get in the way.  Commit to it and take action.  We’re almost done with this series!!!  Only one week left!!!  We’re taking sign ups for the next challenge.  If you decide to move on we hope you take what you’ve learned here and continue to apply it.  If you want to stay and keep connected, we would be happy to have you.  I will be partnering with Michelle from Michelle’s Health and Nutrition Zone.  Michelle is an amazing, certified nutritionist and is a great resource.  She normally charges hundreds of dollars and we are offering the next 60 day challenge for ONLY $60!!!  That’s a dollar a day to help you get fit and help you sustain a lifestyle change!!!  You can also sign up just for one month for $30.00.  Take advantage of this amazing opportunity!!!  Sign up here. Make sure you let them know you were referred by Bootcamp Barre:)))  We also offer Beachbody products now.  Check the link for info.

If you keep waiting for the perfect time, you’ll still be waiting!!!

1) Wednesday Workout!  Upper Body and Abs!!!
Check this out!  Push up, planks are a great way to tone up your upper body!!!

2) Sleep!  I want to take a moment to talk about the importance of sleep.  This is very challenging for me.  I have three kids and I do most of my business at night when they go to bed.  I’m a night owl and I know I need to get my body into a rhythm that will allow me to get at least eight hours of sleep.  I can’t function well on little sleep. Here’s a great overview and advice on getting good sleep:)))

3) Mantra for the Day!!!- Failure is NOT an Option!!!

So many of us get so discouraged when we ‘fail’.  Why!?!?  We act like we should be perfect or something!  If you’re not failing, you’re not trying hard enough.  Part of succeeding is failing then getting back up and trying again.  We have to change our definition of failure.  Failing forward is progress.  The only way to fail is to QUIT!  So, don’t quit.  We’re almost there.  You can do it and this is a lifestyle.  What are you afraid of?  Don’t self sabotage yourself.  You deserve to live a happy, healthy life.  You are worth it.  XOXO!!!

Love you guys!!!  I’m rooting for you:))) XOXO!!!

2) Food- The Dirty Dozen
Here’s a handy visual.  Go organic as much as possible.

3) Mantra for the Day! -Why Not You!?

This is an awesome question to ask yourself.  Stop holding yourself back.  You CAN do whatever you put your mind to.  Why not you!?!?!?

Love you guys!  I’m rooting for you:)))  XOXO!!!

Day 21 of Spring Clean Challenge Part II

Day 21!

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend and you’re ready to take Monday by the horns!  Nothing like starting out your week with a great workout.  Don’t think about it, just do it!!!

1) Monday- Lower body workout.  We’re going to work on our legs and booty today!  No pain, no gain.  If it doesn’t challenge you, It won’t change you!  Pain is weakness leaving the body!  Sweat is fat crying!  Just do it!!!

2) Food- Clean Eating 101
Check out this fabulous link about everything you need to know about Clean Eating! Lots of great recipes too:)))

3) Mantra for the Day- Having character is more important than being comfortable!  I know it’s hard.  If it wasn’t hard, everyone would be fit and healthy.  That is not the case.  We have about a 60% obesity rate in the United States and that number is growing.  We are a nation addicted to comfort.  We want what we want and we want it NOW!  Have you noticed how hard it is to say “NO”!?!?!  We MUST practice it and the more we do it, the stronger we will get.  Getting healthy is going to be uncomfortable.  When you are surrounded by junk food, fast food, parties, gatherings, etc….it’s hard!  To build our character we must persevere and be willing to be uncomfortable.  How willing are you???  Don’t be a weak character.  Get strong and get fit!  You are worth it!!!

I love you guys and I’m rooting for you!!!  XOXO:)))

Day 20 of Spring Clean Challenge Part II

Day 20!
Wow!!!  We only have ten days left on the challenge.  What habits have you changed?  How much have you grown?  Remember that awareness is key.  Even after the program, I want to be in your head so you won’t go back to your old habits!  I’m so proud of the members that have taken steps to make a healthy lifestyle change.  Thank you for inspiring me.  The goal here is not just to lose weight but to keep it off!!!  Be the best version of you!!!

1) Sunday- Re-charge, Re-juvenate, Re-plenish, Re-boot your mind, body and spirit today!  Don’t feel guilty!  Stay in the moment and enjoy the time to relax and unwind.  I confess, this is very difficult for me.  I like to stay busy and keep moving.  My wonderful husband has helped me so much to ‘chill’!  So, enjoy your rest day and ‘chill!!!’

2) Food- Don’t consume empty calories.  Save your calories for something that counts.  Some of the ways we waste our calories are on sugary drinks.  Check out this picture!  It’s eye opening how much sugar we consume.  Instead of drinking these drinks, drink water with a twist of lemon or drink fizzy water.  I don’t know about you but if I’m going to indulge, I’m gonna make it count:))))

3) Mantra of the Day- “Sexy is not a number on the scale, it’s an attitude!” -Mr. R
I spent time with a friend today and she has been working so hard on getting in the best shape of her life.  She looks fantastic and all her hard work has paid off.  The problem is, she’s not satisfied.  She reached her goal weight and now she wants to lose five more.  I’m sure a lot of us can relate.  We can get so focused on the “goal” that we miss the journey.  There will always be someone skinnier, prettier, taller, smarter, younger, etc….If we continue to pursue this idea of perfection in our mind we will never be satisfied.  I love what my friend’s husband said to her, “Sexy is not a number on the scale, it’s an attitude!”  Confidence and self esteem comes from deep within.  It comes from a deep security of who we are and who’s we are.  I hope we can learn this today. Our inner beauty is so much more important than having a hard body and six pack abs!  Let’s keep our heart soft and enjoy the journey:)))

Love you guys and I’m rooting for you!!!  XOXO:))))

Day 19 of Spring Clean Challenge Part II

Day 19!

Hello Friends!
I hope you enjoy this fabulous weekend with your loved ones.  I hope you’re doing well and feeling good.  Stay connected and engaged. Don’t miss the moments.  Whether you’re feeling great or not, it’s a blessing to be able to feel.  When we start dealing with what’s really going on and not turning to food for our comfort and satisfaction then that is the beginning of true transformation!

1) Saturday! -Enjoy the outdoors if you can.  Take advantage of nature that is all around us!  Go for a hike, a bike ride, a run on the beach, whatever it is, do it with joy!

2) Food- Date Night!
I don’t know about you but I get in a lot of trouble when I eat out and smell the aroma of all the amazing food at the restaurant!  It’s hard to have self control when you are surrounded by amazing food!!!  Here’s an idea, make a romantic dinner at home with
nutritious, healthy, ingredients.  You will really be able to enjoy dinner guilt free and save money too!!!

Follow me on Pinterest to get these amazing recipes:))) My Boards:)

3) Mantra of the Day!!!  NO SHORTCUTS!!!
I know it’s tempting to take the shortcut.  There are many options to get nipped and tucked, lifted and lipo’d!  You can get diced and sliced and zapped and lazered!  If you’re really overweight, you can get your stomach stapled and get a band to shrink your tummy.
Look, if you have had any of the aforementioned procedures, I ain’t mad at ya!  All I’m saying is that it covers up a much larger issue of the heart.  Our weight problems are just a by-product of something going on much deeper within.  So, instead of wishing and saving
for the newest procedure, you can start dealing with WHY you are having issues with self control and lacking the motivation to start getting healthy. I get it.  I’ve been pretty active my whole life and have had moments of letting myself go and not caring.  It wasn’t until my body started to fall apart that I really started to take it seriously. So, don’t wait until  your body starts betraying you.  Start NOW! Get healthy and active so that you won’t have to suffer in the future. The right food and exercise are your best bet to keep your body working at its optimum speed.  Join us for the next 60 day challenge starting April 30th.  I have partnered with Michelle from Michelle’s Health and Nutrition Zone to offer you excellent fitness and nutrition tips.  Join our community to get the motivation, inspiration and accountability that you need to get you going.  We’re here for you and we are here to be your biggest cheerleaders!!!  There’s no greater reward than doing it the hard way!!!  If you really want to take a shortcut, check this out!!! LOL:)

Love you guys and I’m rooting for you!!!  XOXO:))))
