Day 12 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 12!

So today might be a hard day.  You might be feeling a little frustrated that your results are not coming fast enough.  Maybe you’re just tired of preparing meals, working out, and counting calories.  Maybe you just realized that this is just too much.  It would be so much easier to just quit right here, right now!  Well, when you persevere through the hard times is when you are actually changing and growing.  That’s when champions are born!!!!

1.  Friday- Zumba & Core Day!!!


2.  Food-  I know you are loving the new menu for the next ten days! (get the menu on the exclusive page) Wow!  I would have never guessed that healthy food could taste so good!!!  Who knew!?!?  Make sure to log your food and exercises for more accountability.  This is essential to your success.  Take the guess work out of it and focus on the goal!

Start your day off with this yummy smoothie!!!

  • 2-3 cups organic spinach
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1-2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 2 tablespoons flaxseeds
  • Blend and drink:))))



3. Mantra for the day:  Bold faith!!!

By this time, you’re losing weight, feeling pretty good about yourself.  You are starting to really believe that you can make these lasting changes.  It’s time to really step out and do something really radical!!!  The average woman has about four different sizes in her closet.  Some of us still have our high school clothes in the back of the closet and we’re secretly hoping to get back in those jeans!  Some of us are just hoping to get back to pre-pregnancy clothes.  Others just struggle with the yo-yo dieting of life.  Well, today, your bold faith is to go to your closet and purge out all the fat clothes!  Oh come on, we all have them!  Get rid of all the sizes that you don’t want to be and the ones you will realistically never get back to.  Keep the size that you feel great in and is a healthy weight for you.  DO IT!  I dare you!  I did this about three years ago and guess what?  I’ve kept the weight off!  Sometimes the only motivation I had was to fit in my clothes!  Today, you are going to declare that you are never going to  wear those fat clothes ever again!!!  Purge them and donate them and make room for new clothes to reward all your hard work!

Day 11 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 11!

I got to the yoga studio about twenty minutes early and decided to chill in my car and wait. I started to dose off and was sooooooo sleepy! I almost left to go home but I persevered and stayed for class. It was such an amazing yoga class and I’m so glad I stayed. Reminder to keep going no matter what:)))


1.   Thursday- Stretch and do 1 hr of yoga, pilates or some kind of core strengthening workout.


2.  Food-  I was at a party and I was talking to a guy who just came back to the states from India.  I was talking to him about our transformation series and we got on the subject of food in other countries vs. here.  We agreed that it takes so much effort to eat well here.  In other countries, mostly everything is fresh and organic.  Unfortunately, there is so much greed and corruption with the big corporations and distributors here in the US.  Don’t get me started!  Educate yourself.  Read books, watch documentaries.  If we rely on the default of the Standard American Diet you will surely be unhealthy.  You owe it to yourself.  Applaud yourself today for being proactive with your food choices.




3.   Mantra for the day:  Gratitude
Make a list of ten things you are grateful for.  Sit and marinate on that. Our health is priceless!!!  You can have all the millions in the world but if you don’t have your health, what good is it?

Day 10 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 10

WOW!!!  Ten days!!!  You did it!!!  This is the beginning of a great change in your life.  Remember to stay present, engaged and still.  Be proud of yourself for the last ten days but keep going.  We are just getting started!!!


1.  Wednesday- 30 min of solid cardio and 30 minutes of upper body workouts.  Grab your weights and let’s go!!! There will be a few videos uploaded to our exclusive page.


2.  Being engaged and present is important even when we eat.  So many of our pitfalls come from mindless eating.  Be aware of the food you put in your system and be present enough to taste and enjoy each bite.  Listen to your body.  Eat when you’re hungry, stop when you’re full.  This is the hardest for me.  Back in the day when I struggled with binging and purging, I would eat so far past my comfort zone that it just numbed me out.  I would eat until I passed out on many occasions.  It takes time to heal our bodies and appreciate how we were designed.  Listen to the natural cues of your body.  Have you ever noticed that babies don’t have to be reminded to eat?  Believe me, you will know when they are hungry!!!   You are able to re-train your body to go back to its natural state.  Join us and let’s re-program and re-boot our systems!!!

3.  Mantra for the day:  Listen.
This seems to be the theme today.  I heard in yoga class the other day that when we listen, we have more intimacy.  We can relate better with people.  I agree with that.  Take a moment to stop and really listen today.  Enjoy your surroundings.  Whether you’re enjoying the quiet countryside or the hustle and bustle of the 405 frwy, you can be still and listen.  Slow down and enjoy what you hear:)

Day 9 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 9

You are doing something special for yourself. Transformation is healing.  It’s getting off the crazy cycle and doing something different.  As we continue on this journey, really challenge yourself to do something different everyday.  Whether it’s eating a new type of food or trying a new exercise.  It makes life exciting:)


Tuesday- Cardio Day!  Do anything that will get your heart rate up and get you sweaty:)))



Food:  Enjoy clean eating and know that you are healing your body from the inside out.  Educate yourself.  Knowledge is power.  Watch your portions.  WOW!  When you start weighing and checking your portions, you see how easy it is to gain weight.  Our bodies need to adjust to the proper portions.  It takes 3500 calories to lose 1 pound.  That’s a deficit of 500 calories a day per week.


2) Mantra for the Day!  YOU DECIDE!
It’s up to you how your day is going to go.  Don’t blame other people or your circumstances.  You have the power to make the right choices today.  Take responsibility and don’t make excuses.  You WILL succeed once you start making the right choices every day, every moment, every breath!  You decide!!!

Day 8 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 8

By now, you should be enjoying the physical activity and eating clean should give you lots of energy!  Keep it up!  One day at a time.  You should also be pretty regular by now…if you know what I mean;))) LOL!


1.  Monday- 30 min of solid cardio followed by another 30 min of lower body workouts.  Find the videos uploaded on the exclusive page. There’s an awesome cardio Kenpo karate workout and some bootylicious exercises!!! Stretch your body and breathe!


2.  You should have your weekly meals planned and ready to go.
It takes a little more time on the front end but it will save you time, money and extra calories later.  When you know exactly what your menu is, you won’t have to go by your cravings.  Be diligent and disciplined about this.



3.  Mantra for the day:  Success is not convenient! 
When you don’t want to work out… Success is not convenient!  When you don’t want to prep your food…. Success is not convenient!  When you don’t feel like eating clean… Success is not convenient!  Anytime you have to do something that you don’t want to do ask yourself, ‘Is this going to help me be successful?’  SUCCESS IS NOT CONVENIENT.  You’ll be inconvenienced for a little while but the rewards are worth it!!!

Day 6 & 7 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 6 & 7

You’re getting the hang of this now.  You are actually enjoying eating clean and your body is asking for more movement.  You are waking up the mind, body and spirit!  Good for you for making this lifestyle change!!!

1. a) Saturday- This is a great day to incorporate the family in your fitness fun!  Go on a hike, bike ride, roller skating, etc.  Find something active the whole family can do.  If you’re single, you have the luxury to do whatever you want!  If you’re not fortunate enough to live in sunny So Cal.  Sorry:)  You can  crank up the music and dance in your living room!!!


b) Sunday- Rest and relaxation day!!!  Make sure to take time out to replenish your energy and rebuild your muscles.  Enjoy your rest day:)))

2. It’s the weekend and you’re probably going out on a hot date or driving kids to gazillion bday parties!  If you are going out, check the restaurant menu ahead of time and know what you’re going to order.  If I were you, I would opt for making a romantic picnic basket for your man.  You will be in control of what to serve and know that your food will be a delicious healthy meal too!  If you are going to a party, offer to bring an appetizer.  This will ensure that you will have something safe to munch on.  Also, eat before you go out.  Don’t let the moment of being tempted by the sights and smells fool you.  You can do it if you arm yourself!!!  Step away from the dessert table…just walk away, don’t look back…you can do it!!! :)))

3.  Mantra for the day:  Knowledge is power.  Fill your mind with information that will give you intense conviction to make healthy choices. Some of us live by “Ignorance is bliss!”  Well, how is that working for you???  Be well informed about what you put in your temple. There are so many resources now from documentaries, internet, youtube, etc…It’s your body, It’s your responsibility!

Day 5 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 5


Wow!  You need to be so proud of yourself.  You ROCK!!!  I know it’s hard, tiring and painful.  Anything that is worth having takes hard work and dedication.  Keep it moving and smile:)

1.  Friday-  Today is core day.  Check out the exclusive group for some great ab exercises.  Remember that if you have access to a gym or you have a group to workout with then adjust your workouts.  If you do more, GREAT!  The most important part is keeping it fun and exciting!!!  Here are some CORE exercises you can do.



2.  By this time, you should start feeling really great.  If you have cut out caffeine or soda, you should be done with your detox headache by now.  Remember to drink tons of water!  For example, if you weigh 120lbs, drink half your body weight in ounces.  So you would drink 60oz of water.  If you are working out and sweating, then drink more.  You will have to pee often..sorry but that’s the way it goes:)


3.  Mantra for the Day- I need to shower myself with love and encouragement.
I posted on FB today and asked people to share what their favorite physical attribute was.  It was so hard for people to respond confidently and really own what they loved about themselves.  I bet if I had asked, “Give a reason you don’t like your physical appearance.”  I would have gotten tons of responses.  Why are we so hard on ourselves?  I think that we sometimes think that it’s wrong to toot our own horn,  yet its so easy for us to criticize ourselves without even thinking about it. Hmmmmm…something to think about.
Here’s the challenge.  For one week, starting today, write one thing you love about yourself.  I know it will be hard and uncomfortable but we need to practice…starting now:)))

Day 4 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 4

You are doing AWESOME!  You should be so proud of yourself!  It’s a marathon not a sprint.  So, take your time.  One day at a time.

1. Thursday- Yoga, pilates, or any type of workout that incorporates lots of stretching and working on your flexibility.  Especially the older we get, stretching is vital to our program to help keep us limber and to help prevent injuries. (Check the member page for videos)


2.  Enjoy your meals.  When you fail to plan, you plan to fail.  Take the time to sort out your food and snacks into single servings.  This might seem like a pain in the butt but it will pay off.  Especially when your day is busy and you have to drive kids all over town, it seems easier to go to the drive thru when you are starving and you have starving kids yelling for food.  Pack snacks for them too.  You will save money and feel great that you are giving your family healthy options.



3. Mantra for the day:  You are beautiful!!!
Thank you for loving yourself enough to take care of yourself and invest the time and energy on your health.  If your motivation is because you hate your thighs, your belly, arms, etc….your energy and focus will be on the negative and you will get more of what you focus on.  Think about how grateful you are for the body that you were created to have.  You are strong, powerful, beautiful beings.  Your body is your ally, not your enemy.  Be kind to your body and your body will be kind to you.  Here’s a great exercise for you to do today…

Go to the mirror and really look at yourself and say, “Thank you for being there and loving me unconditionally, even when I am not kind and say hurtful things you are still here and haven’t given up on me.  I vow to treat you better and vow to speak kind words to you and about you.  Please forgive me for hurting you and being ungrateful…I am transforming!!!!”  Really mean it…decide today to stop the cycle of self hate.  You are amazing and beautiful and I’m so honored to know you.

Day 3 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 3

Day 3!  How are you doing?  You might be a little sore if you haven’t worked out in a while.  It’s ok.  “The only way to get through hell is to go through it!”  Push through and remember that it’s one day at a time.  Forget about yesterday, live in the now.

1.  Wednesday- Stretch and do 30 min of solid cardio and some weights.  Grab your 3 to 5lb weights and put some music on.   Try this one.  You don’t have to get married to do this:)))

2.  Follow the meal plan.  Make sure you are eating often.  You should actually feel like you are eating all day with this plan.  You will not be hungry.  Even when you are not hungry or thirsty, force yourself to stay on schedule and eat and drink water.  Cut sugar, alcohol, white flour for this challenge.  It doesn’t mean that you will never have it.  You’re just detoxing for the first ten days.  You will crave it, but remember that whatever you put in your mouth you will crave.  If you eat junk, you will crave junk.  If you eat broccoli, guess what!?!?  You will crave broccoli!!!  Seriously!!!:)

3.  Set aside time to meditate daily.  This is just some quiet time to connect with yourself.  Time to affirm yourself, set your intention for the day and focus on your mantra for the day.  It can be a one word mantra like “surrender”, “patience”, “kindness”, “self control”, etc….this is essential to our journey.  We run around so fast that we forget what or why we are doing things.  As a believer I use this in my time with God everyday.  Reading the Bible or whatever inspires you is a great way to set the tone for your day.  This is where you get your gas to rejuvenate your spirit and your soul.

Day 2 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 2


Congratulations!  You survived the first day of the detox!!!  The first five days are going to be the toughest but you will get through it.
Remember, Excuses = NO results.  Action = Change.


1.  Tuesday- ½ hour of solid cardio and some strength training.  Here are some ideas for cardio. (Check our group page for videos.)



2.  Follow the meal plan. This is a great way to introduce your family to clean eating.  Get them involved in the kitchen, let them go to the grocery store with you.  You are modeling a great example for them to follow.   What you do today is making a huge impact.  They are watching you:)))


3.  Set realistic goals.  Be real with yourself. We are bombarded with images that are not real.  We see women who are nipped, tucked, airbrushed, photoshopped, etc. and we wonder why we don’t look like them.  We feel bad and beat ourselves up because we think we’re supposed to look a certain way.  I want you to join me in revolutionizing how real women are to be viewed.  Don’t judge us by the size of our hips but by our strength, determination, character, love and beauty that we possess!  When you are evaluating your goals, ask yourself what you are willing to sacrifice to look a certain way.  Your “why” has to be bigger than just wanting to look good.  That will come and will be a byproduct of being healthy and fit.  Remember your goals, make sure they are specific.  Throughout the day when you are craving something or tempted to eat something unhealthy then ask yourself, “Will eating or drinking this help get me closer to my goal? Is it worth it”???  If the answer is “no”…walk away:)))
