Day 12 of 40 Day Challenge!!!

Day 12!

1.  Friday- Stretch and do 30 min of solid cardio and 30 minutes of strength training focusing on your core. There will be a few videos uploaded to our exclusive page.  Don’t forget to stretch and breathe!

 

2.  Food-  I know you are loving the new menu for the next ten days! (get the menu on the exclusive page) Wow!  I would have never guessed that healthy food could taste so good!!!  Who knew!?!?  Make sure to log your food and exercises for more accountability.  This is essential to your success.  Take the guess work out of it and focus on the goal!

 

3. Mantra for the day:  Bold faith!!!

By this time, you’re losing weight, feeling pretty good about yourself.  You are starting to really believe that you can make these lasting changes.  It’s time to really step out and do something really radical!!!  The average woman has about four different sizes in her closet.  Some of us still have our high school clothes in the back of the closet and we’re secretly hoping to get back in those jeans!  Some of us are just hoping to get back to pre-pregnancy clothes.  While others just struggle with the yo-yo dieting of life.  Well, today, your bold faith is to go to your closet and purge out all the fat clothes!  Oh come on, we all have them!  Get rid of all the sizes that you don’t want to be and the ones you will realistically never get back to.  Keep the size that you feel great in and is a healthy weight for you.  DO IT!  I dare you!  I did this about three years ago and guess what?  I’ve kept the weight off!  Sometimes the only motivation I had was to fit in my clothes!  Today, you are going to declare that you are never going to  wear those fat clothes ever again!!!  Purge them and donate them and make room for new clothes to reward all your hard work!

Day 8 of 40 Day Challenge!!!

Day 8

You are amazing and you should be so proud of yourself.  By now, you should be enjoying the physical activity and eating clean should give you lots of energy!  Keep it up!  One day at a time.  You should also be pretty regular by now…if you know what I mean;))) LOL!

 

1.  Monday- Stretch and do 30 min of solid cardio followed by another 30 min of lower body workouts.  Find the videos uploaded on the exclusive page. There’s an awesome cardio Kenpo karate workout and some bootylicious exercises!!! Stretch your body and breathe!

 

2.  You should have your weekly meals planned and ready to go.
Here’s my sample schedule.
7:00am two egg omelet with mushrooms, peppers and feta cheese and two small organic corn tortillas  (310 cal)
10:00am  Green Juice (see recipe on FB) (210 cal)
12pm turkey burger with side salad and lentils (310 cal)
3:00pm Apple with two tablespoons of almond butter (160 cal)
6:00pm  Homemade chicken soup with loads of veggies & brown rice (310 cal)
Approx 1300 calories
Lots of water!!!!
***Tip- set your alerts on your phone to go off every 3 hours as a reminder to eat!

3.  Mantra for the day:  Success is not convenient! 
When you don’t want to work out… Success is not convenient!  When you don’t want to prep your food…. Success is not convenient!  When you don’t feel like eating clean… Success is not convenient!  Anytime you have to do something that you don’t want to do ask yourself, ‘Is this going to help me be successful?’  SUCCESS IS NOT CONVENIENT.  You’ll be inconvenienced for a little while but the rewards are worth it!!!

Day 7 of 40 Day Challenge!!!

Day 7

1.  Today is REST day!  You deserve it.  Let your body rest and replenish.  Enjoy!

 

2.  Stay on your eating plan and keep it up.  Get a good night’s sleep.  Studies show that getting at least eight hours a night is essential to weight loss.  Be disciplined and get to bed at a decent hour.  Today you will get a new menu for the week.  (posted on the exclusive group page)  Take time to prep your food for the week.  Planning is key for victory!!!

 

3.  Mantra for the day:  Be still…..

Take a shavasana pose.  Corpse pose.  Lay down with eyes closed and palms facing the sky.  Take a moment for yourself.  Stay engaged and be present.  Breathe.  When you find your mind wondering, continue to focus on your breathing.  This is the time where you thank yourself for being on this journey.  Thank your body for being strong and willing.  Showing up is the hardest part.  Focus on gratitude for all the things that you have.  Remember, what you focus on, you get more of.  If you focus on problems, you get more problems.  Lay here for about five minutes.  The world will not stop I promise.  This is a hard exercise and you have to discipline your mind to be still.

Now, after you have laid there for a few minutes, we are going to take our fetal position pose.  Go to the right or to the left and curl up into a little ball.  We are going from death to life.  This pose signifies a rebirth, a new beginning.  Every breath we take is a new breath.  Focus your intention on forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead.

Slowly come up to a comfortable seated pose.  Take three deep breaths.  Thank you for being on this journey with me.  I’m honored and grateful to have you on this 40 Day Transformation with our community.

Q. What kind of workout do I have to do?
A. We meet you wherever you’re at.  If all you can do is walk for an hour a day, then that’s wonderful!  If you belong to a gym and can take classes that’s great too.  There’s no wrong way to do it.  The key is to commit to something and DO IT!!!

 

Q.  Why do I have to pay?

A. Studies show that if you give a service away, people don’t take it seriously and are more likely to quit.  You are worth it and you need to invest in yourself.  When you do that, you will see the value in what you’re doing.

 

Q. What if I’m diabetic, gluten free or vegetarian/vegan???

A. Again, the beauty of this program is that it is customized for you and your lifestyle.  You can adjust the menu.  You will be sent guidelines to follow but you can alter as needed.

 

Q. What if I don’t complete it? *insert whiny voice* :)))

A.  One of the greatest tools you will learn in this program is how to overcome negative thinking and strengthen the power of the mind.  One of our mantras is that “Life and death are in the power of the tongue!”  Whatever you speak you give life to.  So if you’re already thinking you won’t finish, you’re already defeated.  Take one day at a time and our team will help walk you through it!
