Day 31 of 60 Day Challenge!!!

Day 31!

Hi there!
We did it!!!  We completed our first month of the 60 Day Challenge!!!  How are you doing?  How’s your progress?  Sometimes, the first month is the hardest because when we don’t see results, we want to quit.  Remember that this is a marathon and not a sprint.  Learn to measure your progress by how you feel, how your clothes feel, how strong you’re getting, how your stamina and endurance is growing, etc.  The scale is just one part of the program but it doesn’t tell the whole story.  This is the first time where I feel like my journey is growing in all areas.  I’m not focused on the scale and I’m totally OK with it.  I am encouraged by my endurance and my self control.  I am eating well and working out hard.  I encourage you to try new things.  If you’re stuck in a rut, shake it up and push yourself.  Don’t get comfortable.  Let us know how you’re doing.

1) Thursday- Yoga Day!  Take this time to work on your mental game as well as your body.  Align your body, spirit and mind.  Connect each breath to each movement and practice being present.  Check out these great exercises.

2) Insanity day 10-  I definitely see myself getting stronger.  I can get through a workout without dying!  The body is an amazing vessel!  I am amazed at how it can quickly adapt.  In the beginning, I couldn’t even imagine being able to get through one workout without stopping.  I’m looking forward to my next fit test to see how I’m progressing.


3) Mantra for the Day- Every Decision Counts!

Focus on every detail today.  Fight to stay present and be engaged.  Every decision no matter how big or small counts!  Remind yourself that this is for the long haul and not just a fad diet.  This is a lifestyle change and every decision will either bring you closer to your goals or take you further from it.  The decision is up to you.  Your future is up to you.  Stop making excuses and start taking full responsibility.  We’re here to support you!!!

Day 1 of 60 Day Challenge!

We just started a new challenge group and I’m so excited to be partnering with Michelle from Michelle’s Health and Nutrition Zone.  Together we are going to take you through a lifestyle makeover and help you to make changes that will help balance your mind, body and spirit.  We all have different goals and that’s OK!  The key is to be consistent and be willing to try new things.  I will mainly be talking about the fitness portion of the challenge along with the mental mindset that it will take to make changes that will last.  You will hear us say, “It’s a marathon not a sprint!” often.  You will not be perfect.  Give yourself permission now to figure this all out.  The beginning is always a little messy.  It’s OK.  You’re in good company.  The beauty of the closed challenge group is to build intimacy with like minded individuals that are in the trenches with you.  We’re here to support, encourage and hold each other accountable.  We’re going to have a great time!!!

Day 27 of Spring Clean Challenge Part II

Day 27!

Hi guys!

My husband and I just got back from a marriage seminar.  We are so blessed to have the marriage that we have.  We’ve been married for fifteen years and we just keep growing and getting better each year.  Why is that?  Well number one, GOD! :) Number two, we are committed to putting time, energy, money and effort to keep it going.  It’s not by default or osmosis that we have a thriving marriage.  It’s an investment that we are both willing to make to make our marriage better.  It reminds me of our health and fitness.  It’s a daily battle and we have to be willing to work on it.  It’s not automatic.  We need help and accountability to be successful.  I’m so excited for all of you that have signed up for the next 60 Day Challenge!  You are making a huge investment in your health and fitness.  It will not be in vain.

1) Today is your rest and relaxation day!  Take the time to rejuvenate your soul.  Even if you don’t think you need to rest, DO IT!  Resting is essential to repairing your body.  Resting will prevent injuries and fatigue.  Enjoy your relaxing day and get ready for the week to come!


2) Food- Prep your food for the week.  Don’t skip this very important step in your challenge.  This is what will bring success!  Get inspired by these great ideas:)


3) Mantra for the Day!- Believe
You will receive what you believe.  The biggest thing that is holding you back is the belief that you can overcome.  It’s easier for you to believe the lies and the negativity that goes on in your mind than the thought that you could actually succeed and be happy.  If you can visualize your success and see what you want your life to be like then you will get there.  You just have to keep one foot in front of the other and keep pushing forward.  Excuses doesn’t produce results only action does.  So, start believing in yourself and do the work.  Just take baby steps and give yourself permission to not be perfect.  You can do this and I believe in you!
