Day 89 & 90 of CHALLENGE!!!!

We did it!!!  We completed the 90 Day Challenge!  How did you do?  What did you learn?  What worked?  What didn’t work?  I hope you got some new tools and convictions about your healthy lifestyle.

Sometimes we have this regret of what we could’ve, should’ve, would’ve done differently in the last 90 days.  We can get discouraged because we are not where we think we’re supposed to be.  If you focus on what didn’t happen, you will go backwards and continue to spiral down.  If you focus on what new habits you formed, the victories you experienced, the food that doesn’t tempt you as much, the clothes that fit differently, etc…you will get more of what you focus on.  What you put your focus on will flourish.  Make sure you’re focused on the right things:)

 

I thoroughly enjoyed being with you in the last 90 days.  I have definitely seen the biggest growth in my healthy lifestyle in the last 90 days.  I think it finally happened when I truly surrendered.  I decided I was going to do this because I want to be healthy, I want to be around for my kids, I want to feel great, I no longer wanted to be a slave to my emotional eating, my negative thoughts, I was going to live this way unconditionally regardless of the results.  When I no longer cared about what the scale said, and stopped obsessing about calories, the pounds melted off and I totally exceeded my expectation of weight loss. Of course the temptation of self sabotage crept in and at times won.  Like when I ate all those brownies and ice cream:)))  See, it’s not about perfection.  It’s about balance.  It’s about being forgiving when you blow it and starting over.  I get it.  I’m living it and I’m so excited about helping as many people as possible stop the crazy cycle and enjoy the journey.

If you’ve been following us, thank you for your participation and encouragement.  We are going to move on to our January Detox Challenge group that is going to take us to another level.  I want to encourage you to keep going with the program.  We are not meant to do this alone.  We need each other for support and encouragement.

Day 88 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 88

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  Where the heck did 2012 go!?!?  WOW!  A lot happened this year but is it just me or did it go in lightning speed!?  It’s been a fabulous year doing what I love to do.  Thank you for being clients, friends, workout buddies, and even bystanders.  I know we are all inching away to our goals.  It doesn’t matter how slow or how fast we go, it’s all progress!

 

 

1. Thursday- Cardio Day!
Confession- I hate cardio.  I do a lot of strength training but cardo is really challenging for me.  Then, I discovered ZUMBA!!!  Zumba is not for everybody.  I know people who LOVE ZUMBA and people who absolutely HATE it!!!  Some people think you have to be coordinated to do it.  My motto is, “When in doubt, shake something!!!”  LOL!  You will leave the class dripping wet and burning lots of calories!  Try it. If you’re in town, I teach on Friday morning at Degas Dance Studio from 9:30-10:30am and Saturday at Pulse Fitness LA from 11-12pm!  We have a lot of fun!!!  It’s my version of clubbing these days;)))

 

 

 

2.  Food- Super food of the day! -Judy’s Green Shake
So if you knew me back in the day and I told you a healthy green shake would be named after me, you would die laughing.  A martini, maybe…but a green juice!?  NEVER!!!  Well, I have turned so many of my friends on to my green drink that if you go on Myfitnesspal.com and type in Judy’s Shake, this will come up:)))  Try it!
Here’s my green smoothie recipe: (in a blender)
ice
1/4 cup blueberries
1/4 cup strawberries
1 banana
1 cup spinach or kale
1 cup almond milk
water to thicken or thin
one scoop of vanilla protein powder -(optional)
It’s soooooo good!  This makes about three 16oz servings.

3. Mantra for the day:  Mindset
Many of us get excited for the new year.  A new year feels like a second chance, a clean slate and a new opportunity to be different.  It all starts with our mindset.  If we are not ready mentally then it will be another year with written goals and little action.  You must be sick and tired of being sick and tired and make a decision to stick to your plan.  It’s not easy but it is possible!  I hope you will join us for our January Detox Challenge group.  Click here for details.   It takes a lot of effort to jump start a program like this and the more encouragement and accountability, the better.  There’s only a few spots left.  Act now!!!

Day 80 of 90 Day Challenge!

1.) Wednesday -Upper Body Day!
I love getting fitness related gifts!  I got an exercise ball and a juicer!  I’m so excited!!!  I’m taking my fitness to a whole new level.  You should have seen me today trying new exercises on my ball and I totally fell off of it a few times.  It would have been a great, graceful, exercise video. LOL!  I will be incorporating these in my classes.  Great for core strengthening and just a great full body workout:)))

2.) Food- Juicing!
Since I got a new juicer today, I’m so excited to try new recipes.  Please send me your favorites either on the comment section or on our facebook page.  Here are some I’m anxious to try.  Keep checking in with us because I will be posting more juicing recipes:)

3.) Mantra of the Day!- Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should!

This is my mantra for 2013!!!  I’m starting now because this is going to be a tough one for me.  I like to DO a lot of things.  I need to settle down, breathe, and only do what is necessary.  I need to practice being more in the moment and not be so concerned about doing everything all at once.  I have to remind myself that it’s OK if it doesn’t ALL get done TODAY.  I put a lot of unnecessary pressure on myself and I need to chill:)  You guys need to help me OK!?  We’re in this together.
