Day 9 of Clean Eating Challenge!

Day 9

You are doing something special for yourself. Transformation is healing.  It’s getting off the crazy cycle and doing something different.  As we continue on this journey, really challenge yourself to do something different everyday.  Whether it’s eating a new type of food or trying a new exercise.  It makes life exciting:)

Tuesday- Stretch and do 50 min of solid cardio and some strength training.   Try one of these!  Enjoy:)

Food:  Enjoy clean eating and know that you are healing your body from the inside out.  Educate yourself.  Knowledge is power.  Watch your portions.  WOW!  When you start weighing and checking your portions, you see how easy it is to gain weight.  Our bodies need to adjust to the proper portions.  It takes 3500 calories to lose 1 pound.  That’s a deficit of 500 calories a day per week.

Mantra for the day: I WILL!
No more excuses!  You need to decide that you want your life to change.  In order for things to change, you need to do something different.  Eat differently, work out differently, and start doing things you never did before.  You WILL see results if you choose to obey:)  If you keep doing the same thing, sadly, you will stay the same.  Working hard for 21 days is not going to change the last 20 years of bad habits.  Start creating good habits and learn to LOVE working out and eating well.  The more you do it, the more you will LOVE it!  I promise:)

Day 6 & 7 of 21 Day Challenge!

Woo hoo guys!  Week one is done!  How did it go?  I’m so proud of myself for not cheating and not losing my mind!  I was kind and didn’t chew anybody’s head off!  Just ask my husband:)  Seriously, the first week is the hardest week.  I hope you felt as victorious as I did.  But even if you didn’t and you had a horrible start, we still have two weeks to go.  You can do it.  Start fresh, and start over…NOW!

I love the word journey because it implies that we have not arrived yet.  You could be in the beginning, middle, or towards the end and we will still have lots to learn.  Enjoy the ride.  Learn to accept where you are.  Learn to give yourself grace.  We’re the hardest on ourselves.  Take a deep breath and tell yourself, “It’s going to be OK.”

Enjoy the weekend!  Plan for success.  If you’re going out, eat before or pack snacks.  If you’re going to a restaurant, don’t be afraid to be high maintenance and ask for your food to be cooked as clean as possible.  I just came back from Starbuck’s with a girlfriend and had a fruit cup and water.  I was a boring date but we had great conversation.  Focus on other more meaningful things other than food.

Keep it moving.  Do some yoga, hike, jog, dance, swim, run, whatever it is you enjoy to do, just do something!

Day 3 of Spring Clean Challenge!

Day 3

Hello party people!!!  Thank you so much for joining us on this amazing journey of healing, health, and wellness.  I am so proud of you guys for really engaging this part of your life.  You are going to learn tools for the rest of your life.  This is not just a lose weight quick phase.  We’re in this for the long haul.  Looking forward to learning with all of you.

1. Thursday- Yoga Day!  I love yoga because no matter how many years you’ve been practicing, there’s always room to grow.  Yoga keeps me humble because you never arrive!  Just when you think you have something down, there’s a variation of the pose that will challenge the tar out of you!  So push yourself, go to your edge, and keep challenging yourself.  Most importantly, breathe…

 

 

2.  When you fail to plan, you plan to fail.  Take the time to sort out your food and snacks into single servings.  This might seem like a pain in the butt but it will pay off.  Especially when your day is busy and you have to drive kids all over town, it seems easier to go to the drive thru when you are starving and you have starving kids yelling for food.  Pack snacks for them too.  You will save money and feel great that you are giving your family healthy options. Be inspired!!!  Check out these pictures. I want to be this disciplined:)))

 

 

3.  Mantra for the Day:  This is my Moment!
Why not take advantage of this moment?  What are you waiting for?  Lately,  there has been intense situations going on personally.  Friends and family with life threatening illnesses, friends losing loved ones, families being ripped apart.  Life happens.  In this time of your life, ask yourself if you are taking advantage of every opportunity?  Are you seizing the day?  This will not happen by wishing and hoping things will work out.  How are you actively pursuing your goals?  As it pertains to fitness, ask yourself if your actions or lack of action is taking you closer to your goals.  It’s a decision.  You are either going to live your life by design or by default.  So take this moment…don’t wait another day….stop procrastinating and take action.  Every day do something to actively go after your dreams.  Stay consistent and take advantage of our exclusive member’s page for support and encouragement.  Remember, you got this!!! Every little step leads to a shift and then momentum snowballs!!!

Day 72 & 73 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 72 & 73!

Sorry I missed the last couple of days.  I didn’t have it in me.  I was mourning and grieving with the rest of the world.  Hope you love the ones you’re with.  We are not promised tomorrow.

This is a process and we will continue to fight.  Half the battle is being surrendered to your journey and to be committed to keep on learning.  Don’t give up or give in.  You can do this!!!

1) Tuesday- Enjoy your day with some cardio. Rain or shine…DO IT!!!


Wednesday- Upper Body Day!

 

2)  Eat in moderation, don’t beat yourself up.  Learn how to have a healthy relationship with food.  We will be really diving in to this in our next session.  You can indulge and splurge here and there.  Just don’t make it a habit:)

Day 18 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 18

 

I love that I get to share my journey with people. I am blown away by the openness and vulnerability of women I barely know. It really shows that this is a deep need we all have to be understood and to be validated. By being open we see that we are not alone. There is strength in numbers. Stand by your team…keep cheering each other on! Love you guys!

1.  Thursday- Stretch and do 1 hour of yoga today.  Enjoy and breathe….

 

2.  Food- Write out your meal plans and check to see how your fruit and vegetable servings are.  If you  are having a hard time consuming all your greens then either juice or blend them!  Check our exclusive page for great smoothie, juicing and blending recipes.

 

3. Mantra for the day:  Being vulnerable is not a weakness.

To be vulnerable is to be exposed.  To be stripped to our core is a humbling experience because we must deal with what’s left.  Food can be a great mask.  Extra weight or being underweight takes the focus off of what’s really going on inside.  When we start to deal and peel off layers then we have to come face to face with who we really are.  Take a moment to embrace that person.  Your authentic, vulnerable, amazing self is dying to come out.  Give her a chance to prove to you that she is strong and capable of dealing with what life has to offer.  You are stronger than you think you are.  Openness and honesty gives others the courage to do the same.  Share your heart and share your strength!!!

Day 4 of 60 Day Challenge!

Day 4!

TGIF!!! How was your first week of the challenge???  Remember it’s a marathon, not a sprint!  Even if you didn’t have a great start, every day is a new day to make it right.  I hope you guys are feeling great and feeling hopeful that you can be successful on your journey to health and wellness.

 

1) Friday-  Focus on your CORE today!  There are many effective ways to strengthen your core muscles.  Engage your core every chance you get.  If you sit for long periods of time, make sure you get up and stretch and walk around.  Sit on a big medicine ball if you have one.  Check out these great plank exercises. Enjoy!!!

 

2) Mantra for the Day!!!- Enjoy the Journey!
This challenge shouldn’t be painful and a struggle.  There should be a feeling of being challenged but feeling empowered at the same time.  If you feel like you’re trying too hard, then you probably are.  Take one step closer to your goals everyday.  You don’t have to be perfect but everyday make a better choice.  Meet yourself where you’re at and be patient.
You will have great days and not so great days.  Don’t beat yourself up.  Know that every new breath is a new opportunity to take a step in the right direction.  Love yourself and take care of what’s inside.  The outside will follow:))))  XOXO!!!
