Day 1 of 60 Day Challenge!

Hello!
We just started a new challenge group and I’m so excited to be partnering with Michelle from Michelle’s Health and Nutrition Zone.  Together we are going to take you through a lifestyle makeover and help you to make changes that will help balance your mind, body and spirit.  We all have different goals and that’s OK!  The key is to be consistent and be willing to try new things.  I will mainly be talking about the fitness portion of the challenge along with the mental mindset that it will take to make changes that will last.  You will hear us say, “It’s a marathon not a sprint!” often.  You will not be perfect.  Give yourself permission now to figure this all out.  The beginning is always a little messy.  It’s OK.  You’re in good company.  The beauty of the closed challenge group is to build intimacy with like minded individuals that are in the trenches with you.  We’re here to support, encourage and hold each other accountable.  We’re going to have a great time!!!

Check the exclusive page for the video links for the workout.  Let me know how you like it.

For those of you that are following us on the blog, try this:)

Day 23 of Spring Clean Challenge Part II

Day 23!

Hi guys!  Don’t lose steam.  We need to renew our motivation daily.  It’s not automatic, it’s not natural.  Do not be discouraged when you have an off day or if you don’t feel like working out.  It happens to all of us.  The key is to do it anyway.  Make it a priority and don’t let anything get in the way.  Commit to it and take action.  We’re almost done with this series!!!  Only one week left!!!  We’re taking sign ups for the next challenge.  If you decide to move on we hope you take what you’ve learned here and continue to apply it.  If you want to stay and keep connected, we would be happy to have you.  I will be partnering with Michelle from Michelle’s Health and Nutrition Zone.  Michelle is an amazing, certified nutritionist and is a great resource.  She normally charges hundreds of dollars and we are offering the next 60 day challenge for ONLY $60!!!  That’s a dollar a day to help you get fit and help you sustain a lifestyle change!!!  You can also sign up just for one month for $30.00.  Take advantage of this amazing opportunity!!!  Sign up here. Make sure you let them know you were referred by Bootcamp Barre:)))  We also offer Beachbody products now.  Check the link for info.

If you keep waiting for the perfect time, you’ll still be waiting!!!

1) Wednesday Workout!  Upper Body and Abs!!!
Check this out!  Push up, planks are a great way to tone up your upper body!!!

2) Sleep!  I want to take a moment to talk about the importance of sleep.  This is very challenging for me.  I have three kids and I do most of my business at night when they go to bed.  I’m a night owl and I know I need to get my body into a rhythm that will allow me to get at least eight hours of sleep.  I can’t function well on little sleep. Here’s a great overview and advice on getting good sleep:)))

3) Mantra for the Day!!!- Failure is NOT an Option!!!

So many of us get so discouraged when we ‘fail’.  Why!?!?  We act like we should be perfect or something!  If you’re not failing, you’re not trying hard enough.  Part of succeeding is failing then getting back up and trying again.  We have to change our definition of failure.  Failing forward is progress.  The only way to fail is to QUIT!  So, don’t quit.  We’re almost there.  You can do it and this is a lifestyle.  What are you afraid of?  Don’t self sabotage yourself.  You deserve to live a happy, healthy life.  You are worth it.  XOXO!!!

Love you guys!!!  I’m rooting for you:))) XOXO!!!

Day 9 of Spring Clean Challenge Part II

Day 9!

With this detox, we are getting rid of the addictions that make us a slave to sugar, caffeine, alcohol, processed food and junk food.  When you can finally say that you don’t need coffee to get your day started or sugar to get you through the day then you can eat these items in moderation.  Be aware that you can easily get addicted again so just because we’re done with the detox tomorrow doesn’t mean you can go to town and eat all these things in one sitting! LOL!

1) Wednesday- Stretch, Cardio and Upper Body Strength Training!
Don’t be afraid to use weights.  Strength training increases muscle mass, which revs up your metabolism for faster calorie burning. Combine both by doing cardio and weight training to get the maximum results!

2) Food-Not all health food are created equal!
When we buy ‘healthy’ food at Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods then we automatically think that it’s good for us.  Well, not exactly.  You still have to read labels and more importantly follow the portion servings.  When I first started on my health kick, I would seriously eat half the bag of almonds!  I’m talking the BIG bag!!!  I would eat lots of yogurt with loads of sugar and juices too.  Be aware and be mindful.  It’s a process.  If you are in our Spring Clean Challenge group, we are very excited to have Michelle from Michelle’s Health and Nutrition Zone join our program and she will be answering a lot of our questions!  Michelle is a certified nutritionist and very knowledgeable!  Please add her on Facebook!

3) Mantra For the Day- Patience
By this time some of you are seeing great results and you are excited about the program.  Some of you are not seeing any results and in fact have gained a few pounds!  You are not crazy.  Different people respond differently to the detox.  Be patient with yourself and don’t judge.  Results will happen.  Sometimes your body type, health issues, age, and background will determine how your body will process this detox.  You didn’t get here overnight.  We’re only on day nine!  If you haven’t been as diligent as you should be then it’s not too late to start.  If you’ve been following everything meticulously and are still not seeing results, give it some time.  You might want to take advantage of Michelle and ask her some questions about your diet.  Either way, measure your success by how strong you are getting.  You are so much more aware now and you are making great choices.  Be proud of your efforts.  Don’t get discouraged.  You are doing an amazing job!!!  I’m really proud of you.

Love you guys and I’m rooting for you!!!:)))
