Day 19 of January Detox Challenge!

Day 19!

How’s it going???  Don’t get weary.  We’re here for the long haul.  Dig deep and start again.  You have to get sick and tired of being sick and tired.  In order for true change to happen, you must be willing to push through when it’s uncomfortable.  You must be willing to do what others are not.  You have to keep your focus.  What did you do today to get you closer to your goals?  It’s not too late.  Keep going!!!

1) Friday- CORE
Let’s get that CORE strong!  Here’s how:)))

What if we spent more time focused on this “core”????  How would our life be different?
OK..let’s work on both:)))  Focus on the inside and the outside:)))


2) Food- Buy Organic Whenever Possible!
Now that I’ve been juicing like a mad woman, I’m hyper vigilant about washing my produce in Kangen water.  It’s alkaline water with many levels.  I wash my produce in 11.5 to make sure I get all the pesticides and e-coli bacteria out.  I used to just rinse my produce under the faucet.  Now, I make sure I soak it and wash it thoroughly. Day 13 of 30 Day Challenge!!!

Day 13!

How’s it going?  It’s the middle of the week and we are excited to work the upper body today.  I talk to so many athletic, fit people who don’t have upper body strength.  It’s really important to build our upper bodies and have strong arms, back, chest and core!  So let’s make it happen:)))  Don’t forget the tri ceps!  Those guys are stubborn little suckers!!!


1) Try these upper body workouts….

Combine some cardio and strength training today!

3) Mantra for the Day- EARN IT!!!

How many of us just wants to sit back and coast without having to put much effort in our everyday lives?  It’s not easy and just when you think you had a great day, you have to do it all over again!!!  Seriously!?!?  Didn’t I just work out!?!?  It can feel like that sometimes.  It’s important to just let go and be in the moment.  Forget what is in the past and focus on the NOW!  It’s not easy and it’s not for the faint of heart.  You can totally do this.  You have it in you to dig a little deeper and create change.  Let’s do it!!!

Day 2 of Spring Clean Challenge!!!

How did the first day go for you?  I felt great!!!  I taught a couple of classes and ate really well.  My problem is that I’ll get so busy that I’ll miss meals, then by the time I eat I’m so hungry I’ll overeat. I have to do a better job planning my snacks.  So this challenge isn’t just a weight loss challenge, it’s just a good accountability tool for us to get back on track.  Some people even do the challenge to gain weight so don’t let the word ‘detox’ scare you:) Let’s support each other on this journey!


1. Tuesday- Stretch and do some cardio today.  Whatever type of cardio you end up doing make sure you enjoy it!  There’s so many different types of cardio workout.  Find one that fits you and your life.  Make it a point to do abs and push ups too.  You don’t need equipment or a gym membership.  Just drop and give me 20!!!:)))



2. Food- Eating clean is a way of life.  It’s not some sort of fad or gimmick.  Back in the day, it was a lot easier to eat  ‘clean’.  Now it’s nearly impossible.  Everything that is available to us is pre packaged and fake food.  When I travel internationally, it’s so amazing to see how people eat.  Our family went out to a village in the Philippines and we ate fish that was caught right then and there and fruit right from the tree. It was so awesome!!!  It takes a lot of effort to eat well now a days!  I hope you are excited about going back to the basics and eating food our grandparents use to eat:)))



3. Mantra of the Day:  Desire or Duty?
What is your motivation??? I was listening to a speaker today and he was talking about the difference between desire and duty.  It really got me thinking.  If we do things out of duty then we can end up being resentful and not follow through.  We look at the tasks as a list of do’s and dont’s.  If we do things because we have a genuine desire to accomplish a goal, then we will have the integrity and the character to follow through even when no one is watching.  Only we know where we’re at.  Only we know what’s in our heart.  So, as you continue on this journey, check your heart.  Find out why you’re doing this.  This will determine whether or not you will be able to finish it.  Good luck!!!  I’m rooting for you:)))



Day 4 of 40 Day Challenge!!!

Day 4

You are doing AWESOME!  You should be so proud of yourself!  It’s a marathon not a sprint.  So, take your time.  One day at a time.


1. Thursday- 50 min of solid cardio and don’t forget to stretch.  Do some strength training exercises. Go on a hike and take advantage of the beautiful So Cal weather..If you don’t live here, sorry:( Stay active, park your car far away, take the stairs, be intentional about moving!!!  (Workouts uploaded to the group page)


2.Enjoy your meals.  When you fail to plan, you plan to fail.  Take the time to sort out your food and snacks into single servings.  This might seem like a pain in the butt but it will pay off.  Especially when your day is busy and you have to drive kids all over town, it seems easier to go to the drive thru when you are starving and you have starving kids yelling for food.  Pack snacks for them too.  You will save money and feel great that you are giving your family healthy options. 3. Mantra for the day:  You are beautiful!!!
Thank you for loving yourself enough to take care of yourself and invest the time and energy on your health.  If your motivation is because you hate your thighs, your belly, arms, etc….your energy and focus will be on the negative and you will get more of what you focus on.  Think about how grateful you are for the body that you were created to have.  You are strong, powerful, beautiful beings.  Your body is your ally, not your enemy.  Be kind to your body and your body will be kind to you.  Here’s a great exercise for you to do today…

Go to the mirror and really look at yourself, your body and say, “Thank you for being there and loving me unconditionally, even when I am not kind and say hurtful things you are still here and haven’t given up on me.  I vow to treat you better and vow to speak kind words to you and about you.  Please forgive me for hurting you and being ungrateful…I am transforming!!!!”  Really mean it…decide today to stop the cycle of self hate.  You are amazing and beautiful and I’m so honored to know you.
