If you’re paying attention, we skipped day 10.  Sorry, I was totally swamped and didn’t have time to do it.  Today is Valentine’s Day!!!  I hope that no matter where you are in your life that you feel special and loved.  If you don’t have a Valentine today, it’s OK.  You are still awesome:))))

 

1) Thursday- Yoga, Pilates, Stretching, Tai Chi
Try a new workout today that will stretch your body and your mind.  These are some great types of workouts that will help balance your body from all that cardio and weight training.  It’s great to mix it up a bit.  Let us know what you think:)))

3. Love Post!  Love yourself
This is a funny mantra for Valentine’s but the truth is, it starts here.  If you don’t genuinely love yourself, you will have problems in relationships.  Whether you are married, single, divorced, widowed, etc…you have to learn self love.  I love what I do because I am passionate about empowering people to love themselves right now.  Not when you lose ten pounds, or when you can fit in to those jeans, etc.  You MUST love yourself right now as you are.  You will be more desirable and lovable when you are secure, confident, self assured, and living your life to the full.  Don’t let a man define you.  You are a whole being now and anything added to that is gravy;)  Enjoy your Valentine and be grateful, but even if you don’t have a significant other, you be the best Valentine to yourself today:)  Treat yourself well:)))

Day 18 of January Detox Challenge!

Day 18!

After talking to some of you guys, it seems like we have hit a bump in our journey.  Some of us, myself included have slipped up and have enjoyed too many cheat days:)  It’s OK.  Don’t beat yourself up.  It’s time to shake it off and move forward.  The key is not to let the bad days turn into weeks, months and eventually years!  Everyday is a new day:))))

1) Thursday Yoga/Pilates/Stretch
After hitting it hard this week, take some time to stretch your body and give it some TLC:)  Try these stretches and poses….

3) Mantra for the Day- Turn Intentions into ACTIONS!
If I did everything I THOUGHT about doing, I would be soooooo productive;) LOL!  Our intentions are so important but the proof is in the follow through.  Have integrity and do what you say you’re going to do.  If you say to yourself, “I will work out in the morning.”  Then do it!  Keep your word.  It’s tough and sometimes we want to give in to our emotions.  Stay strong.  Success comes to those who are willing to do the work!

Day 9 of January Detox Challenge!

Day 9-

It’s our second round of the three day detox.  I have eaten more vegetables in the last nine days than I have in the last nine weeks!!!  I’ve been loading my juices with tons of veggies and I made a homemade chicken vegetable soup with quinoa today.  Yummmmmm…it’s definitely soup weather:)))

 

1) Tuesday!  Try something new today:)))
Try something that you’ve never done before.  Yoga, Crossfit, Zumba, Pilates, etc….there’s so many great workouts out there.  Let us know what you chose:))))

 

 

2) Food- Day 9
I am so addicted to juicing right now!!!  I actually keep all my fruit and veggie scraps and add it in my juicer.  It’s a great way to save money and all the nutrients are in the skin and scraps:)  Check out these juicing recipes…

3) Mantra for the day:  Share Good News!!!

One of the best ways to change your attitude is to focus your attention on all the things that are going well in your life.  If you’re like me, I can tend to focus on the negative and become my worst critic.  Make it a habit to write a gratitude list.  It will redirect your thoughts and energy and you will find yourself a little more joyful:)))  Here are some great testimonials from our clients during this detox challenge!!!

Day 2 January Detox Challenge!

Day 2-

How’s it going???  The key to success with this detox is preparation.  I had to run around and didn’t really get to eat the appropriate snacks, just nuts and by the time I got home, I was cranky, tired and wanted a Starbucks latte stat!!!!  I also ended up having too few calories for the day and not enough water.  Good news is that there is no perfect way to do this detox.  It’s all about trial and error and figuring out what works.  Be forgiving, learn from your day and move on.  Remember, “Champions have a short memory!”

1) Tuesday- Cardio Day
People always ask me, “What is the best workout for me to do?”  My answer, “The one you will do!” Find something that you enjoy and do that.  My problem is that I love it all!  I love yoga, Zumba, pilates, HIIT training, Tabata, kick boxing, dancing, etc…that’s why I love being a fitness trainer, I’m able to experiment and do all kinds of crazy things in my class.  So keep trying new things until you find the workout you love.  There’s so many to choose from.  What are you favorite workouts???

 

 

2) Food- Well day 1 of detox juicing wasn’t exactly mouth watering.  It’s amazing what fruit can do for your juice!  For the first three days of our detox, we are not having any fruit at all.  It’s all part of the sugar detox.  We’ll add it in after day three.  Also, we are cutting salt.  I think I missed salt more than sugar.  We are re-training our taste buds to go back to its natural state.  There are a lot of ways to get flavors naturally and creatively.  Let us know if you have any tricks or recipes:)  Please share!

 

3) Mantra for the day:  Success is not Convenient!
You’ve heard me say this before and especially in the beginning, we need to hear it again.  Prepping for our detox takes time and work.  Having to actually cook and not just open a pre-packaged meal is not convenient.  Working out and being sore is not convenient.  Juicing and cleaning the juicer is not convenient.  Carrying and packing your snacks is not convenient.  You choose.  If you want success, it’s going to take some work.  If you want to be average and mediocre then do what the rest of the population is doing.  Go eat fast food, drink soda,  microwave your meals, and be too busy to workout.  You’re either going to pay for it now in hard work or pay for it tomorrow in medical bills, health challenges and being overweight.  Stop thinking about it and just do the work.  No whining and complaining, just do it.  I believe in you.  You can do this:))))

Day 11 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 11!

I got to the yoga studio about twenty minutes early and decided to chill in my car and wait. I started to dose off and was sooooooo sleepy! I almost left to go home but I persevered and stayed for class. It was such an amazing yoga class and I’m so glad I stayed. Reminder to keep going no matter what:)))

 

1.   Thursday- Stretch and do 1 hr of yoga, pilates or some kind of core strengthening workout.

 

2.  Food-  I was at a party and I was talking to a guy who just came back to the states from India.  I was talking to him about our transformation series and we got on the subject of food in other countries vs. here.  We agreed that it takes so much effort to eat well here.  In other countries, mostly everything is fresh and organic.  Unfortunately, there is so much greed and corruption with the big corporations and distributors here in the US.  Don’t get me started!  Educate yourself.  Read books, watch documentaries.  If we rely on the default of the Standard American Diet you will surely be unhealthy.  You owe it to yourself.  Applaud yourself today for being proactive with your food choices.

 

 

 

3.   Mantra for the day:  Gratitude
Make a list of ten things you are grateful for.  Sit and marinate on that. Our health is priceless!!!  You can have all the millions in the world but if you don’t have your health, what good is it?

Day 4 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 4

You are doing AWESOME!  You should be so proud of yourself!  It’s a marathon not a sprint.  So, take your time.  One day at a time.

1. Thursday- Yoga, pilates, or any type of workout that incorporates lots of stretching and working on your flexibility.  Especially the older we get, stretching is vital to our program to help keep us limber and to help prevent injuries. (Check the member page for videos)

 

2.  Enjoy your meals.  When you fail to plan, you plan to fail.  Take the time to sort out your food and snacks into single servings.  This might seem like a pain in the butt but it will pay off.  Especially when your day is busy and you have to drive kids all over town, it seems easier to go to the drive thru when you are starving and you have starving kids yelling for food.  Pack snacks for them too.  You will save money and feel great that you are giving your family healthy options.

 

 

3. Mantra for the day:  You are beautiful!!!
Thank you for loving yourself enough to take care of yourself and invest the time and energy on your health.  If your motivation is because you hate your thighs, your belly, arms, etc….your energy and focus will be on the negative and you will get more of what you focus on.  Think about how grateful you are for the body that you were created to have.  You are strong, powerful, beautiful beings.  Your body is your ally, not your enemy.  Be kind to your body and your body will be kind to you.  Here’s a great exercise for you to do today…

Go to the mirror and really look at yourself and say, “Thank you for being there and loving me unconditionally, even when I am not kind and say hurtful things you are still here and haven’t given up on me.  I vow to treat you better and vow to speak kind words to you and about you.  Please forgive me for hurting you and being ungrateful…I am transforming!!!!”  Really mean it…decide today to stop the cycle of self hate.  You are amazing and beautiful and I’m so honored to know you.

Day 2 of 40 Day Challenge!

Day 2

 

Congratulations!  You survived the first day of the detox!!!  The first five days are going to be the toughest but you will get through it.  Remember, excuses don’t produce results.  Take action everyday and you will see changes.

 

  1. Tuesday- ½ hour of solid cardio and some yoga or pilates.  (Check our group page for videos.)

 

  1. Follow the meal plan. This is a great way to introduce your family to clean eating.  Get them involved in the kitchen, let them go to the grocery store with you.  You are modeling a great example for them to follow.   What you do today is making a huge impact.  They are watching you:))) (Follow the menu on the group page)

 

  1. Be real with yourself. We are bombarded by images that are not real.  We see women who are nipped, tucked, airbrushed, photoshopped, etc. and we wonder why we don’t look like them.  We feel bad and beat ourselves up because we think we’re supposed to look a certain way.  I want you to join me by  revolutionizing how real women are to be viewed.  Not by the size of our hips but by our strength, determination, character, love and beauty that we possess!  When you are evaluating your goals, ask yourself what you are willing to sacrifice to look a certain way.  Your “why” has to be bigger than just wanting to look good.  That will come and will be a byproduct of being healthy and fit.  Remember your goals, make sure they are specific.  Throughout the day when you are craving something or tempted to eat something unhealthy then ask yourself, “Will eating or drinking this help get me closer to my goal? Is it worth it”???  If the answer is “no”…walk away:)))
