Day 1 Spring Clean Challenge!

Day 1

Welcome to the Spring Clean Challenge!!!  If you are new to the challenge, WELCOME!!!  If you are a returning challenger, welcome back!!!  Here we go!!!  Let’s CRUSH it!!!

1) Tuesday!  Work out!  I always get asked the question, “What workout is the best for me?” The answer, “The one you WILL do!!!”  Find something that interests you and do it.  It might take you a few trials but once you find what you love it won’t feel like working out!  Those are the best kinds of workout.  I love to dance and after an hour of sweating and moving, I’ve already burned lots of calories!!!

2) It’s our first day of the detox.  Here’s the list in case you need it!
No caffeine (decaf or green tea OK just one cup, no sugar or fattening creamers)
No refined sugar (fruit ok)
No white flour
No alcohol
No junk food, processed food, chocolates, cakes, etc…

Good rule…if it has a momma and it came from the earth, you can eat it:)))

3) Mantra of the Day!!!- Refinement

  1. The process of removing impurities or unwanted elements from a substance.
  2. The improvement or clarification of something by the making of small changes.
Synonyms-purification – subtlety – delicacy – polish – nicetyThis detox period will be a period of refinement.  It won’t feel good, we will be challenged and uncomfortable.  That’s OK. It’s not supposed to be easy.  This is a time to purify the body from all impurities.  We will add all the proper nutrients and start healing from the inside out.  Check in with us on our exclusive page and connect with all our members.Love you guys and I’m rooting for you!!!

Love you guys!!!  I’m rooting for you!!!  XOXO:)))

We will begin Monday, March 4th!!!

I’m really excited for the great news from some of my clients about what they got out of the “Sweetheart Challenge”!!!

“Thank you, Judy and group for a great month!!!! Although I didn’t make my weight goals for the month, I think I’m on track for a healthier walk in exercise and eating. I’m grateful for the posts from everyone it encouraged me to keep going. I’m also SO glad for Judy’s great workout posts!! I love these. I can do them from home on my own schedule and they reinvented the way I workout and It’s not a boring routine which makes me want to stop working out. I loved the sweetheart challenge and sad to see this stop. I know I need this reminder.” -Sweetheart Challenge Member
“I personally loved the “Sweetheart Challenge” and used the relational tools to help my marriage. Honestly, in the beginning, my husband and I were arguing and I didn’t want to follow the daily challenge. Yet, I did it anyway. It worked! It helped me to be grateful for my husband and reminded me of everything that he was doing right. I chose to express gratitude instead of the things I was mad about. I would not have even thought to do that on my own. I am grateful for the February Challenge. My husband said, “All I know is that I like that Challenge that you are doing!” Thank you for helping our marriage!” -Sweetheart Challenge Member

1) Wednesday- Upper Body Day

2) Food- Portion Control!

3. Mantra for the Day-  Don’t you Dare Give Up!!!
This month we have been focused on relationships. Whenever you have people, you will have problems.  If you are in a relationship and you’re in a difficult season, DON’T.GIVE.UP!!!  Sometimes, you just need to persevere through it. Fake it until you make it!  Action causes emotion!  Just discipline yourself to do what it right, even if you don’t want to.  Interestingly, you can apply this in your health journey.  You won’t always feel like working out, eating right, or planning your meals.  DON’T.GIVE.UP!!!  You will eventually get to a place where you will enjoy it.  Just like your relationship, you will get to a place of deep love.  The more you persevere, the deeper the trust and intimacy.  The problem is that we quit before we get to experience that.  Again, just like our health goals, we tend to give up before we can taste the victory.  Hang in there!!!  You can do this:))))

Love you guys and I’m rooting for you:)))  XOXO!!!

Day 26 of Spring Clean Challenge!!!

Day 26!

Well today I had a doctor’s appointment.  I’ve had Hashimoto’s disease for about five years now.  Well, about two years ago I started to cut down on gluten.  I’m about 80-90% gluten free with the occasional harmless bites of my kid’s mac n’ cheese, bite of bread or pizza here and there.  Well, come to find out, with my condition, you can’t just ‘cut’ down gluten but you must be completely off of it.  My body reacts to gluten and causes inflammation for up to 60 to 90 days!  That explains why I’ve been having trouble shedding the last few pounds!  I’m working my butt off and eating pretty clean but it just won’t budge.  Anyway, I am kind of sad.  I have to go through a grieving period.  I will say good-bye to pasta, bagels, pizza, mac n’ cheese, croissants, biscuits, pastries, cupcakes, etc….LOL!  Not that I eat those foods anyway, but the thought of not being able to eat it if I want to kind of sucks. *sigh*

1)  Friday- Core Day!!! Everyone wants defined abs.  We are obsessed with the six pack!  Well, it takes a lot of work!  Cardio, weight training and super clean eating.  Some people are blessed with genetics and can get definition quickly.  Others have to work really hard.  Wherever you fall in the spectrum, don’t focus on it too much.  Focus on strength and how you feel.  It will happen. Keep persevering.  One way to make sure you’re utilizing all your core muscles is to open up your hip flexors.  Stretch them often.  It also loosens up your lower back.  Here are some great hip flexor stretches.
(Videos uploaded on our exclusive page)

My abs inspiration!  I love that she still has her curves:)

2.) Food- Here are some gluten free ideas!!!  Looking forward to trying out these alternatives.  For recipes, follow me on Pinterest.  These are all on my board titled, “Food I can Eat!”  Follow me on Pinterest:)  Can you believe these are gluten free???  Must.Try.

3.) Mantra for the Day!!! -Focus on Abundance not Scarcity!!!
It’s easy for me to look at all the food I can’t have right now.  Sure it makes me sad but the more I focus on all the things I can’t have, the more depressed I’m going to be.  If I focus on all the new foods I get to taste and discover, the more excited I get!  This goes for clean eating too.  This is the best time to choose healthy eating.  There are so many great tasting recipes out there that won’t make you feel deprived at all.  Our taste buds will adjust.  Focus on the abundance today!!!  Keep an eye out for a cook book that my sister Karen and I are working on.  She is a genius and we’ve been working on amazing, healthy recipes that taste sinfully delicious!  So excited:)  Stay tuned!

Love you guys!  I’m rooting for you:)))

***Don’t forget…ONLY Two days left for the SPECIAL Discount!!!  Studies show that people who work out with others are more likely to keep the weight off.  Grab a friend and join us!  You can do this from anywhere in the world.  We would love to have you!

PS- As a bonus, we are going to add a clutter free challenge in the next round!  Let’s clean out our pantries and our health together:)))

Day 7 of Spring Clean Challenge!!!

Day 7!  It’s Sunday!!!

We survived the first week of the Spring Clean challenge!!!  Whether you had a tough time this week or it was easy peasy for you, congratulate yourself for persevering!!!  The good news is that you’re still here and you did not give up.  Everyday is a new day and a chance to make the right choices.  Remember, “Champions have a short memory!”  Keep on moving!

1. It’s R&R day today!  It’s super important to rest and replenish your body.  Enjoy the down time because come Monday we’re gonna work it!!!

2. If you fail to plan you plan to fail…..
Take the time to plan your weekly menu and prep your meals for the week.  It takes time but believe me, it will save you lots of time and sanity during the week if you are prepared.  I made a big pot of chicken curry tonight that will last me a few meals for the week.  Get your family involved in the process.  You are modeling a healthy example for them to follow.  It’s a huge investment into their future.  Enjoy:)))

If you like slow cookers, check out this link…..Prepping for slow cookers….check it out!

Mantra for the Day:  You are Stronger than you Think…
We have to stop listening to the voices of doubt in our heads…when we hear, “You can’t do this…this is too hard….you won’t make a lasting change, what’s the point….have that coffee or chocolate cause you deserve it, no one will even know….you’re not seeing results so just give up!” It’s time to tell those voices to SHUT UP!!!  You have to start replacing those voices with new voices!!!  If you don’t believe it yet, that’s ok…the more you decide to believe the positive voices, the more you will begin to believe it!  Listen to these voices instead…”You are worthy!….You can do this….You are strong….you are beautiful….you are loved… are accepted….you are amazing, you are fearfully and wonderfully made!”

Love you guys and I’m rooting for you!!!

Day 2 of Spring Clean Challenge!!!

How did the first day go for you?  I felt great!!!  I taught a couple of classes and ate really well.  My problem is that I’ll get so busy that I’ll miss meals, then by the time I eat I’m so hungry I’ll overeat. I have to do a better job planning my snacks.  So this challenge isn’t just a weight loss challenge, it’s just a good accountability tool for us to get back on track.  Some people even do the challenge to gain weight so don’t let the word ‘detox’ scare you:) Let’s support each other on this journey!

1. Tuesday- Stretch and do some cardio today.  Whatever type of cardio you end up doing make sure you enjoy it!  There’s so many different types of cardio workout.  Find one that fits you and your life.  Make it a point to do abs and push ups too.  You don’t need equipment or a gym membership.  Just drop and give me 20!!!:)))

2. Food- Eating clean is a way of life.  It’s not some sort of fad or gimmick.  Back in the day, it was a lot easier to eat  ‘clean’.  Now it’s nearly impossible.  Everything that is available to us is pre packaged and fake food.  When I travel internationally, it’s so amazing to see how people eat.  Our family went out to a village in the Philippines and we ate fish that was caught right then and there and fruit right from the tree. It was so awesome!!!  It takes a lot of effort to eat well now a days!  I hope you are excited about going back to the basics and eating food our grandparents use to eat:)))

3. Mantra of the Day:  Desire or Duty?
What is your motivation??? I was listening to a speaker today and he was talking about the difference between desire and duty.  It really got me thinking.  If we do things out of duty then we can end up being resentful and not follow through.  We look at the tasks as a list of do’s and dont’s.  If we do things because we have a genuine desire to accomplish a goal, then we will have the integrity and the character to follow through even when no one is watching.  Only we know where we’re at.  Only we know what’s in our heart.  So, as you continue on this journey, check your heart.  Find out why you’re doing this.  This will determine whether or not you will be able to finish it.  Good luck!!!  I’m rooting for you:)))
