Day 25, 26, & 27 of Spring Clean Challenge!

Day 25, 26, & 27!

Hello guys!  I hope you’re doing well.  I am feeling great and getting stronger.  Sorry I missed the blog yesterday.  I am giving myself permission to be OK with letting things go. Please forgive me:)  Our bodies are amazing. Our bodies remind us that there is so much to learn.  I hope you are challenging yourself and trying new things.  You will amaze yourself by how strong you really are.  Sometimes strength means to be present and do nothing.  Sometimes, it takes more strength to do that:))))

1) Friday- Friday’s are our CORE day! We will be meeting at the park since it’s Spring Break!  I love that my clients don’t make excuses.  They want to work out and figured out a way to do it without having to get a sitter:)))  Meet us at Balboa Park 9:30-10:30am
We’ll start off at the bleachers:))))

We have a treat for you this weekend!!!  Karen from Fitness With Karen will be here to take care of our Zumba addiction:)  So dance with us and do your core exercises too!!!
Saturday at Pulse Fitness LA in Sherman Oaks!!!  11-12pm

SUNDAY- Is relax and unwind day.  Take a day to recover.  Quiet your mind, body and soul.  Whether or not you celebrate Easter Sunday, take some time to reflect on what the day represents.  A new day, a new beginning, a fresh start, redemption, hope, glory, and love.  Enjoy:))))

2) Food- Water!!!
I will keep reminding you guys to drink your water!!!  Be intentional about getting it all in.  Drink half of your weight in ounces.  For example, if you weigh 150 pounds you will drink 75 ounces of water daily.  Just make it a habit.  Carry your water bottle everywhere.  Do it!

3) Mantra of the Day! – Champions are not Born, They’re Made!!!
Everyday you have an opportunity to be a champion.  The only thing that separates the average people from the champions are the time and effort champions are willing to put in. It’s not automatic or genetic.  It’s not going to happen by osmosis.  It’s a CHOICE to take action towards your goals and not give in to laziness and excuses. Another thing about champions is that they have a short memory.  Shake it off and move on!  You decide!!!  It’s up to you:)))

Stop talking and just keep doing.  You ARE a CHAMPION!!!  Act like it!

Love you guys and I’m rooting for you:))) XOXO!!!

Day 27 & 28 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 27 & 28!

It’s the weekend!!!  Remember to stay focused.  This can be a challenging time and we can lose control.  There’s a lot of fun parties and activities that are usually loaded with yummy goodness.  Don’t give in.  Stay clean and remember the goal!!!

1. Saturday- This is your day to work out with your loved ones and try something new and fun!  I love workouts that don’t feel like workouts:)))

Sunday- Don’t forget to REST!  Take a rest day:)  You need it to replenish your energy!

I love seeing kids do yoga:)  Check out my son and daughter doing yoga:)

2.) Food- Super Food of the Day!!! -WATER!!!
OK…technically, not food but we need water, water, and more water!!!
Here’s a good tip.  Calculate your weight and cut it in half.  Then drink that number in ounces.  For example, if someone weighs 150 pounds, they will drink 75 ounces of water.  If you’re not a water drinker, here’s another tip!  Add fruit to your water.  Cucumbers, limes, lemons, strawberries, or mint.  It tastes like spa water and you won’t get enough of it!!!  Check out this gorgeous, refreshing pitcher of water!!!  Drink up:)))

3. Mantra of the Day!!! – Encourage Each Other!

One of the reasons for our amazing success in this program is the fact that we are encouraging each other to succeed.  In a society where women can be competitive, catty, conniving and jealous doesn’t it feel great to be encouraged?  This should become the norm in our world.  Women are powerful beings.  We need to speak kindness and do good to those around us.  Do it!  You will be empowered when you realize that what we give we will get back. All of the women in the program are so amazing, funny, strong, inspiring, courageous, and full of love. Tell someone how much they mean to you today.  You guys are beautiful and I’m so proud to know you.

Love you guys and I’m rooting for you:)))

Day 19 of 90 Day Challenge!

Day 19

How’s your progress? Are you enjoying your new found energy? Isn’t it amazing how good you can feel with just diet and exercise? You don’t need pills or surgeries, just go back to the basics.  The more you consume good, clean, whole foods the more you will crave it!  Your body will also start rejecting all the yucky processed stuff.  Even though it still smells good and your mouth waters when you look at that cake or fast food burger, your body will pay for it.  Believe me!!!

1. Friday – Core Day!  This is such an important part of our body to work out.  If you work in an office and sit behind a desk, make sure you are getting up at least every half hour or so and move around.  So many people behind the desk are being diagnosed with diabetes.  They are not getting enough movement.  Consider sitting on a medicine ball so you can keep your belly engaged. Make sure you have a really good stretch before and after each workout.

2. Water, water, water!!! How’s your water intake going? Please make sure you’re getting enough water.  You should be drinking half your body weight in ounces.  Example if you way 200 pounds, you would drink 100 oz of water! Here’s another motivation to lose weight…less weight = less water:) Also if you drink one cup of coffee, replace it with 8 cups of water to hydrate you. Yes, one cup of coffee dehydrates. You can drink it but make sure you replace it.

3. Mantra- Control your Thoughts!!!

How many of us would never allow the garbage man to back his truck up and dump sewage, dirty diapers, old moldy food, trash, etc in our back yard? We would call the police and get our shotgun out of the closet!!!  Yet, when it comes to our minds, we entertain such negativity that it  just continues on instant re-play.  A lot of our emotional eating come from emotional triggers.  We remember that Susie in the third grade called us fat or Aunt Becky commented on how big your belly was, or ex-boyfriend said…(fill in the blank).  There are so many negative tapes that haunt us and the problem is that we listen to it!  We have the power to say “STOP”!!!  Replace the negativity with positive words.  If you can’t be kind to yourself then it will be hard for others to be kind to you.  I constantly surround myself with positive people who encourage and support me.  I listen to cd’s of my mentors, go to seminars, listen to lectures, read lots of books and I’m plugged in to my local church.  It is not easy or natural for me to be positive but I have to work hard to keep the positivity flowing.  Say “NO” to the voices in your head that want to criticize, condemn and be cruel to you.  Say “YES” to compliments, encouragement and kindness.  If you need a cheerleader join us at Bootcampbarre on Facebook!  We have an amazing community of people who love to encourage and speak life to one another:)))  You are amazing and beautiful!!!  Believe it!!!

Love you guys and I’m rooting for you!!!

Day 25 of Spring Clean Challenge Part II

Day 25!

Hello guys!  I hope you’re doing well.  I am feeling great and getting stronger.  I took a yoga class and my butt got handed to me!!!  It was so challenging that I felt like a beginner.  It was a very humbling experience but also very enlightening.  Our bodies are amazing and just when you think you’ve arrived, your body reminds you that there is so much to learn.  I loved it and hated it at the same time:)  I hope you are challenging yourself and trying new things.  You will amaze yourself by how strong you really are.

1) Friday- Normally, Friday’s are our CORE day but for the next four weeks, Karen from Fitness With Karen will be here to take care of our Zumba addiction:)  So dance with us and do your core exercises too!!!
